this is sooooo broad that it was kind of hard to make a start into decideing on potential themes for our projects for next semester. after a little bit of thought into it, i came up with the idea that a topical subject of emotions could be applied easily over many different styles of radio national programs. i think it is still broad enough to allow substantial interpretation by a potential producer.
after a little bit of research i discovered that the stoics came up four major passions that could split into distress, fear, lust and delight. on their own i think these could be great themes but maybe it is possible to refine, and pull out some really meaty ones it a little:
>distress emotions: rivalry, anxiety, vexation (irritation),
>fear emotions: consternation (alarming amazement), shame,
>lust emotions: greed, longing,
>delight emotions: malice, and rapture.
my final four of these are vexation, shame, greed, rapture. chunky as….
